My blogginess is pathetic lately. Every time I sit down to write, something or someone needs my immediate attention and the blog gets pushed aside once again.
We have busy little bees this past month. Our month kicked off with a very spontaneous trip to Tampa. Trey and I used to have spontaneous trips all the time, so it was kind of nice to have one pop up. I was really nervous about Dylan and the car, but he actually surprised both Trey and I with how well he did.
We spent 5 days in Tampa and had a blast hanging out with family and seeing some friends along the way. There are so many people in Tampa that are special to us, and we always wish for more time there no matter how long we actually stay. Among other things, we visited the beach, went to a violin recital for our niece and nephews, and Trey and I had a nice pre-anniversary date at Bern's (probably our favorite restaurant, and one we went to a few times when we were dating). Dylan can officially say "Anna" and "Drew" where everyone can understand him. We are working on "Aden" (sounds like Din) and I am sure he will have it down perfectly the next time we see him. We spent lots of time in their pool, and just had a great week all around.
Trey used to play music on the road with a friend of his, Dean Brody, before he moved to Canada. Anytime Dean comes back to the states, Trey plays with him. Dean played at the CMA festival this week and Trey performed with him. They sounded great and it was fun to see Trey doing something he loves. His work is getting really busy, which is great, but sometimes he can't play music as much as he would like.
Speaking of music, Dylan is becoming quite the little song bird. He has always loved dancing, but now when Trey sings and plays the guitar, we hear a sweet little voice chiming in...melts my heart! Once a week, Dylan and I go to a mommy and me music class for toddlers. Dylan loves music class and usually stands in the middle of the circle dancing around...loves being the center of attention :)
We got a YMCA membership this month and Dylan and I have been taking full advantage of the pool. Dylan LOVES the water...he will jump from the side of the pool into my arms and go completely under. He also loves to splash water...especially on other kids-something we are working on.
Saturday night at our local Barnes and Noble, the Duggar family (19 Kids and Counting) came to a book signing. I was super excited to meet Michelle, who is so sweet, and the rest of the crew. My wonderful husband stood in line with me so I was able to get two books signed. They are such an amazing family and their books are so inspirational to me...and, might I add, great parenting books.
Pregnancy:
I am officially 20 weeks...half way! Everyone tells me the 2nd half goes by so much faster. We have a lot to get done before baby #2 gets here, so I hope it doesn't go by too fast. We find out soon if it's a boy or girl. I wish I could wait and let it be a surprise, but I would be totally unprepared if it's a girl. If this one is a girl, we're thinking we might let the gender of our next baby/babies be surprises...I will already have clothes/bedding for either, so I think it will be fun to not know until the delivery.
