7 Months

This is so cliche, but I can NOT believe my baby is 7 months (and 2 days) old...where have the last 7 months gone? In a short 5 months Dylan will be one year old-doesn't seem possible! I thought I would write a few things that Dylan has taught me in the short 7 months he has been alive...here' goes!

-I really CAN function on 3 hours of sleep-who knew?
-I have more patience than I thought I did.
-Snot totally grosses me out, but when it's Dylan's snot it doesn't bother me...I can even wipe it with my fingers :)
-I can do ANYTHING while holding Dylan-cook, clean, talk on the phone, change clothes and yes...even go the bathroom!
-Dylan's mood sets the whole mood for our family. If Dylan is in a bad mood, that puts me in a bad mood, which puts Trey in a bad mood-makes for fun times in the Keller house
-Breast milk can cure anything: diaper rash, pink eye, ear infection, baby acne...I put it on every ailment Dylan has.
-Everything I said I would "never" do before I had a child, I ended up doing: letting him sleep in our bed, nursing Dylan in order for him to go to sleep, being one of those moms who freak out over germs, sticking Dylan in front of the TV (Baby Einstein or Sportscenter) so I can get ready in the morning...the list really could go on and on. Word to the wise: never say "never" before you have a baby!
-No matter how cute another baby is, you always think your baby is cuter.
-The best thing in the world is when Dylan gives me a big gummy smile.
-I love clothes shopping for Dylan so much more than I ever loved shopping for me...and that is saying a lot-I love to shop!
-I will go days without putting makeup on or doing my hair. Before I had Dylan, I wouldn't even check the mail before I got ready in the morning.
-I never knew how excited I could get over a poop...we have bowel issues, so we (Dylan) will go days without going.
-It is the absolute worst when you have a sick child. It's pitiful seeing Dylan sick and not be able to make it better.
-Just like snot, spit would gross me out, but now I love getting open mouth/slobbery kisses from Dylan.
-Spit-up is my new perfume
-I love waking up every morning and knowing I get to spend my days playing with Dylan...before I had Dylan I was afraid I was going to get bored being a stay-at-home mom, but it's the best job I have ever had.

The list could go on and on, but I will not bore you anymore. He is at a fun stage right now....can't wait to see what the future has in store for us.
Couldn't you just eat him up???

Posing in his new Yankee's jersey!
